In this series, we're saluting young American musicians and showcasing their performances at iconic venues in Europe.
And some of the pieces they performed were also for the very first time.
This piece was a very popular choice.
>> I would probably say my favorite piece was "The Marksman" just because we -- that was the first song we ever started with London and we're like, "Oh, this is so exciting.
We're gonna go to London."
And it was the longest song I've ever had to learn, ever, but it was also the most challenging, and I think that's why it made it so special to us.
>> The changes in energy throughout the song and how it was able to feature all the different voice parts in the music, it was absolutely incredible.
>> The piece kind of has a controlled chaos to it, and with all the different entrances, all the different sounds and the all different parts of it that came together, it really just makes this beautiful piece.

And I asked Eileen Walentin from Somerset College in Florida about that.
>> It was an absolute joy to have James Henshaw work with us.
It wasn't just, "Okay, we're rehearsing the piece.
Make sure you're singing the notes right."
He actually took the time to work on technique, to work on vowel production, to work on their tone, to work on balance, to work on unity.
>> Here's one of the pieces that Eileen's students were very familiar with -- the Goodall version of "The Lord is My Shepherd."

I mean, like, all of us were just so fantastic singers and all of us coming together just by coming from schools, creating this one unified sound, it was so gorgeous.

The arrangement -- First off, from the orchestra, that eerie vibe that you pick up from everyone, was honestly like -- it was, like, bone-chilling, and I really enjoyed it.
And then it turned into a settling, kind of almost matronly vibe.
